Look close enough into the ordinary, and you find the beautiful.
Street photography, to me, is about celebrating humanity; the ordinary moments that make us extraordinary. I see people just living their lives, doing their own little thing, and I’m constantly met with a feeling of sonder. I obsess over it, I believe that everyone carries at least a little bit of love, even when they try their best to hide it. That’s why I try to capture those seemingly small, yet so massive fragments of connection that make being human so special.
Go ahead and scroll, I can’t wait to share my vision with you…
You’ll notice many of these photos, sometimes a majority, don’t feature people. That’s because I also try to showcase with my work that beauty is to be found everywhere; an animal, a building, the landscape, and that place you pass so often that you forget to look for the beauty in it. Scarborough, Bridlington, York, they all have their own ideas, people and life. Every photo is a love letter from me to beautiful Yorkshire, and wherever else I go, the camera is always with me.
When people see my work, I want them to look twice. I want you to pause and search for something more, a connection, a pattern, a feeling. Maybe it’s the way light hits a stranger’s face. Maybe it’s that seagull mid-flight, or the colours of those neon lights. My goal is simple: to show you that everything is beautiful, or at the very least, that there’s beauty to be found everywhere.
I’m heavily inspired by Fan Ho’s incredible storytelling, and Marion Mou’s ability to play with your emotions. These are artists who turn simplicity into narrative. My photos aren’t just records, they’re small stories, frozen pieces of life, each with their own world.
Each month, I release a new print drop. A themed collection of three to ten photos carefully chosen for their story. Every image comes in two forms: a small open edition that’ll stay available, and a large limited edition of just five for those who want something rarer. Once those five are gone, that’s it, they won’t be printed large again. It’s a way to keep things fresh, collectible, and true to the moment they were taken. Whether it’s a passing face, an animal in its world, or a shadow across a wall, these prints remind us that even the most ordinary seconds can mean something huge. I price these fairly, not the hundreds you see online, I only use the most trusted print labs, and I offer two easy sizes to make sure you get the right one for your wall, and can easily find the perfect frame for it. Check out this month’s drop, and follow along on Instagram to be the first to see next month’s.
